Job Duties - Perform basic CNC machine set-up function by loading preset CNC programs and making minor, approved adjustments to support proper machine operation.
- Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product according to work instructions, set-up documentation, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
- Perform basic in-process inspection using established methods; record results and notify appropriate personnel of defects, dimensional concerns, or process deviations.
- Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or taper adjustments and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, lubricants, and other routine machine-care items.
- Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
- Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
Education Requirements - High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
- Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.
Experience Requirements - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
- Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.
- Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a CNC Set-Up.
