Structural Steel WelderTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Steel Welders for projects located in or around Olean, NY. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience plus $125/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Licensed Journeyman Electrician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Weld large-diameter pipe in accordance with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding CodePerform FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) on heavy structural steel componentsComplete multipass groove welds and CJP (Complete Joint Penetration) weldsRead and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbolsEnsure all welds meet quality and structural specificationsAssist with rigging and material handling as neededWork safely in a structural steel fabrication shop environmentRequirements:Must have a minimum of 3 years of structural steel welding experienceMust be proficient in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) processesMust have experience welding heavy structural steel componentsMust be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbolsMust have a working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding requirementsMust be able to pass company welding qualification testsExperience with multipass groove welds and CJP weldsPreferred:Experience with overhead crane operations and riggingCurrent AWS Welder CertificationExperience welding large-diameter pipePrevious employment in a structural steel fabrication shopBe Safe from fraud!
